North Florida Neurology was started in 1996 by  Dr. Andrew Hopkins (BVSc, MVM, MRCVS, DACVIM, DECVN) 

     Dr. Hopkins is a 1985 graduate of the Veterinary School at the University of Liverpool, England.  He acquired advanced training at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and Glasgow University, Scotland (Master of Veterinary Medicine in Neurology under the direction of Professor Ian Griffiths). 

     From 1989-1991 he was an instructor at North Carolina State University, School of Veterinary School.  He is board certified in Neurology by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (http://www.acvim.org) and is a charter Diplomate in the European College of Veterinary Neurology (http://www.esvn.org). 

     From 1991-1995, he was a clinical assistant professor in Neurology at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Hopkins has lectured at various international, national, regional and local veterinary conferences in the United States and abroad.
