Cost of Care

We know that you want the best possible care for your pet.  Our goal at North Florida Neurology is to offer you the most advanced neurological care available and let you decide what is best for your pet and family.  To accomplish this, we utilize the same state of the art diagnostic equipment used in human medicine (MRI, Spiral CT scans and other electrodiagnostics).

We installed a digital radiology system to improve our imaging abilities and shorten anesthesia time.   Zeiss surgical microscopes are used for our neurosurgeries.  Anesthetized patients are monitored using the same multiparameter monitoring machines used in human hospitals (ECG, end tidal CO2, pulse oximetry, body temperature and indirect blood pressure).

These are some of the reasons specialized veterinary care can be expensive.  In addition, our clinicians will often spend an hour or more discussing your pet's problem and the possible diagnostic & therapeutic options with you.  At the conclusion of the consultation, the clinician will discuss the various costs.  North Florida Neurology offers a variety of payment options including cash, check, VISA, MasterCard, Discovery, American Express.  When your pet is hospitalized, we require 50% of the anticipated cost at the time of admission and the remainder of the final bill at the time your pet is discharged.

Because we know that neurological problems are often unexpected, we also offer the use of CareCredit, the nation's leading client payment plan.  Visit the Carecredit website (www.carecredit.com) to fill out an application and see if you qualify.  This may allow you to finance 100% of your pet's care.
